Abstract

The inner experience of cancer patients who use mistletoe therapy has received little scientific attention to date. Now, a qualitative, explorative interview study has revealed a wide variety of patients’ experiences with mistletoe therapy. Various specific aspects became clear, such as increased vitality to cope with everyday life, greater emotional and mental stability, a multidimensional feeling of warmth, feelings of safety and protection through mistletoe therapy, increased selfawareness and self-care as well as feelings of spiritual connectedness.
