Abstract
This chapter examines two late medieval manuscripts from the British Library, BL Royal MS 15 E VI and BL Royal MS 16 G II, analysing how the older texts are adapted to a new literary and cultural context. These manuscripts come from the same workshop; while one has a known commissioner, Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, the patron for the other manuscript is unknown. The chapter also examine possible candidates for the commissioning of this expensive artefact, speculating on a possible link with Cecily Neville..
