Abstract
This document guides staff interested in designing and delivering Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) courses. COIL is a pedagogical approach that connects students and faculty from different countries for collaborative learning through online platforms. It supports internationalisation at home, intercultural competence, and global engagement. Drawing on a review of good practice and experiences from designing and operating a brand-new COIL credit-bearing unit for undergraduate students in the University of Bristol Business School, this document outlines several key elements for staff to consider in the design and delivery of their COIL units.
