Abstract
The emergence of the Electronic Beam Squint (EBS) satellite tracking technique offers the possibility of low-cost, high performance systems suitable for earth station, maritime and satellite terminals. In this paper, following an introduction to the EBS scheme, a PC-based EBS tracking controller will be described along with results demonstrating the tracking performance of the system when combined with a 5.5m offset reflector. Finally, plans for future development will be outlined and conclusions drawn regarding the success of the work described
