Abstract
Commissioned under the Advice Services Transition Fund and presented to both the North Somerset Council Digital Inclusion Group and the BIG Lottery/Cabinet Office. Due to budget cuts, including the removal of funds associated with legal aid, many services - such as benefits and social welfare law - are now available online. Whilst much of the population can use IT to access this information, there are many that cannot. This analysis of North Somerset, on a ward-by-ward basis, looking at the risk factors of digital exclusion in the area. Those wards in high, medium, and low risk areas were identified. This report was to be used to focus investment and support in areas with the highest risk.
