Abstract
This paper presents a description of an experimental investigation concerning the dynamic interaction between cables and the deck/towers system on the physical model of a cable-stayed bridge. The study evidences a clear coupling between cable and deck/tower motions and includes an experimental and numerical evaluation of the importance of this aspect in terms of the response to seismic excitations.
