Abstract

This paper presents a case study of a Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) that is subject to conventional optical feedback from a regular mirror. The main tools to study the corresponding delay differential equation model are mode reduction and bifurcation anlysis. More specifically, bifurcation diagrams of steady state and periodic solutions are presented for the case that the VCSEL with COF supports only two rotationally symmetric transverse optical modes.
