Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to introduce an Evolutionary Recommender System focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle through
suggestions that jointly consider meals and physical activities, based
on users’ aims and their preferences. Our solution considers a Genetic Algorithm as the main driver of the recommendation process.
An experimental study of algorithmic performance is conducted
on users with different goals, along with a cohort study to analyse
how real users perceive the recommendations suggested to them.
