Abstract

An analysis of contact provisions of the original draft Children and Adoption Bill before it wwas revised and introduced to Parilament in June 2005. The article questions the content and construction of the bill, particularly the omission of any consideration of domestic violence and safety issues although these are known to lead to non-compliance with contact orders. The bill was enaction - Children and Adoption Act 2006, and a clause was added to make some provision for risk assessment
