Abstract

An eight-element circular antenna array consisting of an eight wire monopole mounted on a circular ground plane is modelled using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Examples of frequency response as well as the far-field radiation pattern are presented. Comparisons against measured responses of the actual array show that the FDTD method provides an accurate model of the antenna array.
