Abstract

Jovani et al. point towards fractal analysis as a promising tool for aiding animal biometrics. In broad agreement with the authors we would like to position the fractal approach within a wider, also practical animal biometric context here, and point to recent framework extensions suitable to tackle some of the currently open challenges.
