Abstract
As part of the ALPES (Aircraft Loads Prediction using Enhanced Simulation) project, this paper presents a way of building a reduced order model by using the Eigenvalue Realization Algorithm in the frequency domain, and applies it to model the aerodynamic response of a pitching airfoil in the transonic domain. With input data obtained with the TAU linearized frequency domain solver for a NLR7301 airfoil, the reduced order model shows a strong ability to reconstruct the frequency response.
