Abstract
This article proposes how the search for well-being in teaching work is an authentic expression that is not an individual but a collective question. Thus, we conceptualize agency and well-being from a Latin American perspective, where agency will be understood as everything that is done in the present, informed by past stories and inspired by a future hope that things can be otherwise. The above, based on the ideas of Paulo Freire and the philosophy of Good Living, from where we will understand the teaching profession as dialogic and collective.
The agency concept allows us to see the work and teaching profession as transformer and producer of knowledge. The concept of well-being, understood from the philosophy of good living, states that you cannot aspire to individual well-being if there is no collective one.
Finally, we explore how certain authentic movements have taken place in Chile, for example, in the educational mobilization of this year, which is proposed as a fight to advance towards the reconstruction of education that everyone deserves, which, without a doubt will echo in the Latin American region.
