High-resolution and compact vortex mode sorters based on a spiral transformation

Abstract

We put forward a more generalized spiral transformation for vortex mode sorting with better separation between adjacent modes. We confirm this theoretical prediction with a compact vortex mode sorter fabricated on a thin quartz plate.
