Abstract
Database of photographs and added metadata. Photographs cover China 1850s-1960s, and were mostly digitalised by the project team. They are mostly crowd-sourced from members of the public, but also include some institutional holdings of material that was not previously digitalised. This is a new site, developed in-house by UoB developers using Python/Django, drawing its content from the University of Bristol Library Special Collections Preservica Digital Asset Management System, and hosted on UoB systems.
