Abstract

This collection of review articles summarises a series of key hot topics in paediatric infection and immunity which are of relevance and importance to specialists in paediatric infectious diseases. The manuscripts are based on presentations made by leading figures in the field at the 11th Hot Topics in Infection and Immunity in Children meeting held at St Catherine's College, Oxford, UK in June 2013. The editors would like to thank Sue Brockes-Smith for her help in organising the course and Pamela Morison for her help in the production of this supplement.
