Abstract

This work presents an innovative technology that uses water ice to clean water conductions: Ice Pigging. This technology has been developed by University of Bristol during 10 years, having been applied successfully, in collaboration with Bristol Water. Actually, it is being proved by Agbar Medio Ambiente in several countries of world. Ice Pigging is a rapid and simple technology that improves other conventional technologies applied thanks to the facility of use, cost reductions, a more efficient result and a low interruption of supply to clients.
