Abstract

On creating Un Termpo Una Volta (136028) and Ritratti Di Cannaregio (136037) in Venice, the artists I worked with also made work whilst we were making these two research projects. We realised that as each of the artists had made work with regard to resolution and frame rate (a photographer shooting 5 frames per second to present this work as a set of stills, a photographer using a pin hole camera to look at the resolution of that image etc) then in this we had a speculative presentation that was critically reflective in real-time. Both shows were 1 day and 1 evening, the Phoenix had 80 people attend, Gallery 204 had 20). Small shows like this allow greater conversation with the audience.
