Abstract
This chapter explores globalisation and the creation of families. It reviews legal issues surrounding marriage tourism, its application to same sex relationships and the recognition of relationships formalised overseas. Secondly it looks at the procreative tourism, either through the use of fertility services overseas or through international adoption. Finally it brings these issues together examining key legal and practical issues for same sex couples seeking to complete their family with children.
