Abstract
Learn how to use popular Open Source tools, such as PHP, Perl and MySQL, to add powerful features to your ToolBook e-Learning products. Both native and Web deployed ToolBook applications are able to send data to and receive data from a Web server, allowing them to store and retrieve data from databases. Topics covered will include: finding and adapting existing scripts, passing data between ToolBook and the server (HTTP POST/GET), communicating with server-side databases and security.
