Abstract
In this paper I set out and defend a Calvinian doctrine of petitionary prayer. Calvin's position is rather different from a number of recent philosophical assessments of petitionary prayer, since it depends on a doctrine of divine determinism. But I argue that this does not render petitionary prayer pointless.
