Abstract

At the end of this chapter, the reader should be able to:

Understand and be able to explain what is meant by a life-course approach to disease aetiology

Consider the different life-course models and how they can operate in an individual scenario

Appreciate the value of a qualitative approach in understanding a life-course narrative

Understand the value of migrant health research in trying to determine the role of critical and/or sensitive period or accumulation of risk models
