Abstract
This is the highest level Italian mathematics education journal which addresses both researchers and practitioners, and therefore has a direct impact on practice. The article develops an original model for classifying and using measuring tools in a dynamic geometry software, that draws on previous original work about dragging. Implications for practical use of the software are drawn.
