    Abstract

We study two identical, mutually delay-coupled semiconductor lasers with frequency detuning. For this system we present a comprehensive picture of the dependence of the basic continuous wave solutions - called compound laser modes - on the pump current of the lasers. Furthermore, we show how the locking region, where both lasers operate stably with the same frequency, changes its shape with the pump current. This is brought out in the animations with this paper.
