Multiple solutions of steady granular chute flows

Abstract

A pseudospectral method is developed to integrate numerically a continuum model of rapid, steady granular flow down an inclined chute. Using parametric continuation of these solutions we find regimes within which multiple solutions occur for a given volume flux of granular material.
