Abstract
This web resource is one strand of the Heritage Lottery funded "Dream to Change the World" project based at the George Padmore Institute, London. The aim was to write and disseminate the history of New Beacon Books, the UK's first radical black bookshop and publishing house, founded in north London in 1966. The web resource is based on archival research and interviews and includes a substantial illustrated essay, a timeline, and detailed profiles of all books published in the first decade.
