Abstract

The new diphosphine o-C6H4{CH2P(C8H14)}(2), containing the "bisbi" backbone, forms mononuclear trans chelates with rhodium(I), nickel(II), palladium(II), and platinum(II), as shown by X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
