Abstract
Drawing on children’s social work research and practice, this panel discussion will explore the research-practice nexus in two ways:
1. Reflect upon the potential ‘disconnect’ of research in practice contexts, and practice knowledge in research contexts, and thus explore the routes to overcoming these challenges
2. Reflect upon the process of working with colleagues in academic or practitioner roles, and identify the strengths and challenges of those experiences.
Panellists are asked a series of prepared questions from their perspectives, akin to a podcast discussion, followed by questions from the audience.
