Abstract
The article assesses the quality and the importance of the translations made by Percy Shelley from Brunetto Latini and from Dante's Convivio, and considers the possible links between these translations and Shelley's last poem, 'The Triumph of Life', with particular reference to Shelley's understanding of love and the state of being suspended.
