Abstract

The performance benefits of spatial multiplexing are evaluated for an otherwise unmodified Hiperlan/2 physical layer. To obtain an `upper bound' result, full complexity ML decoding of the V-BLAST OFDM signal is performed. Performance results using statistical multi-element channel models are compared with those using state-of-the-art MIMO channel measurements
