Abstract
perspectives - policy & practice in higher education aims to provide higher education managers and administrators with innovative material which analyses and informs their practice of management. To this end, the journal adopts a global, multidisciplinary perspective. Our objectives are:
- to disseminate ideas which enhance the practical aspects of higher education management and administration;
- to further knowledge and understanding of developments within the current higher education environment;
- to foster professional debate about the implications of major external influences on the system and key issues for institutional management. These might include, for instance, the impact of the new market environment and changing student expectations on the delivery of institutional outcomes; the effective deployment of resources; alternative management styles; creative change and review processes; the use of technology; and general professional development.
- to provide for the exchange and internationalisation of ideas in relation to the management of higher education systems and institutions.
perspectives publishes original, refereed contributions, which may be submitted to the Editor for consideration as full papers of up to 3,500 words, and short critiques, reports and reviews.
