    Abstract

In this extract from a much longer essay, I argue that perspectivist ideas are an unacknowledged theme that are not only present within, but are essential to, Warren’s ecofeminism. First, I briefly characterize perspectivism, attempt a sketch of the nature of a perspective, and explain a limited selection of perspectivism’s characteristic claims that follow from this. I then appeal to a range evidence within Warren’s book on her theory to support my arguments that these claims underpin Warren’s ecofeminist theorizing. Next I show that these claims are essential, rather than merely incidental, to Warren’s own conception of what ecofeminism is. Finally, I conclude and consider that the insights of this essay might be significant for feminist philosophy more generally.
