Abstract

Comments on Tchokhonelidze v Georgia (31536/07) (ECtHR) on whether, when convicting the applicant of requesting a large bribe in respect of a development permit, a court's failure to assess whether he was the victim of police entrapment or to allow him to examine witnesses against him infringed his right to a fair trial under ECHR art.6. Notes the court's analysis of the situations that may constitute entrapment.
