Abstract

In summary, using the SAC scanner (scanner 1), IMF can be predicted in dissected loin muscles, from parameters measured by CT, with similar accuracies as in live lambs. However, further investigations are required to explain why other CT scanners provide less accurate estimates of IMF in live lambs or dissected loin muscles.
