A truly resilient system does not need an external trigger to demonstrate its “potency” and capacity to thrive, reach and manifest its highest potential. It acts rather as an Autopoietic system able to participate in the Autopoietic processes that generate life. This mean it continuously interacts with itself and the external environment(s) to constantly enhance its ability to be relevant and useful corresponding to the emerging internal needs and the external changes and circumstances. It means that the system has an inbuilt system of awareness (i.e., a capacity to be meta-aware) that continuously and intentionally, not deliberately, looks for “opportunities” that allow it to transcendent its past structural formation growing its 'whole' in harmony with its surround.
