Abstract

On standing, 4R, 5R-3,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-1, 3, 2-oxazaborolidine dimerises to a monocyclic species, reverting quantitatively on gentle thermolysis. Related oxazaborolidines show contrasting behaviour.
