Abstract

This paper summarizes a study of numerical simulation of the seismic response of the physical model of an existing cable-stayed bridge, the Jindo Bridge, in South Korea, developed in order to clarify the role that the vibration of the stay cables can play in terms of amplification or attenuation of the seismic response of this type of bridges.
