Abstract

First to introduce the concept of MDC in a H.264 framework. Exploiting the Flexible Macroblock ordering features of MPEG-4(AVC), we have produced a system that retains a degree of standard compliance while offering enhanced robustness through support of path diversity. This work is now being pulled through into applications of mapping video to channels in a MIMO wireless LANs.
