Abstract
Notes Beghal v United Kingdom (4755/16) (ECtHR) on whether the holding of a French national at a UK airport by border officials under the Terrorism Act 2000 Sch.7, and charging her with failure to comply with her duty to co-operate, infringed her right to liberty under ECHR art.5 and her right to privacy under ECHR art.8. Highlights the court's failure to examine the potential violation of the right to legal representation under ECHR art.6.
