Screening for bowel cancer: An evidence map to outline the volume and type of evidence related to modifying the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, to include blood-based liquid biopsy triage tests for people who test positive on a faecal immunochemical test

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

Abstract

This document discusses the findings of an evidence map completed by the Bristol Evidence Synthesis for Screening (BESS) Group at the University of Bristol.

We were commissioned by the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) to produce an evidence map to look at the evidence related to Bowel Cancer Screening Triage Tests. An evidence map is a rapid evidence product which aims to gauge the volume and type of evidence relating to a specific topic.

This report was commissioned by the NIHR Evidence Synthesis Programme. The views expressed are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of the NIHR or the Department of Health and Social Care.
