Simple and accurate hybrid FDTD model of uniform waveguide bends

Abstract

It is shown that a simple hybrid Cartesian/cylindrical FDTD model can be applied to complicated waveguide bends. Results are produced for single and cascaded E- and H-plane bends and excellent agreement is achieved with measured and simulated results from the literature
