Abstract
A time-switched phase-diversity intradyne coherent receiver is proposed based on an 180°optical hybrid, which requires only half hardware than a traditional coherent receiver. Transmission of 10 Gbaud QPSK signals over 20km SMF is demonstrated successfully.
