Abstract

This study examines the evidence of the manuscript fragments of this cycle, all of which were either copied in England or survive in English ownership. The history of the fragments is examined, where possible. Along with evidence of manuscript ownership taken from catalogues and inventories, these fragments overturn the accepted view that this cycle was not very well known in Englnd in the Middle Ages.
