Abstract

In this paper we present the DSigns project which aims to implement an online training systems for sign language in the workplace, mapped on to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages - made available in British, Irish, Greek,Czech and Cypriot Sign Languages. This implementation and the research which underpins it will ensure compatibility of content and and approach and will pave the way for the Council of Europe recognition. The paper presents the underlying principles of the approach and demonstrates its online facilities for receptive and productive sign language learning.
