Abstract
Kevin O'Brien's work on delamination has had a huge impact on the field. His seminal paper [1] highlighted the importance of the energy release rate in both static and fatigue delamination of composites. The current paper describes areas where this work has had a major influence, going beyond delamination to also include in-plane and notched failure.
