The nature of the dwarf population in Abell 868

Abstract

We have observed the colour - distribution of the galaxy populations within the rich Abell cluster A868. These observations, together with recent theoretical models of cluster evolution, provide a natural explanation for the dwarf-density vs environment relations found in many other studies.
