Brings together leading critical social scientists to consider the major challenges of our time and what is to be done about them. Applies diagnostic and normative reasoning to momentous issues including the global economic crisis, transnational environmental problems, record levels of malnourishment, never ending wars, and proliferating natural disasters. Theoretically diverse - a range of perspectives are put to work ranging from Marxism and feminism to anarchism.
