Abstract
A transcription of the documents produced by the second 1583 Exchequer Commission that was set up to investigate the establishment of the head port of Gloucester in 1580. This transcription includes a brief summary of the commission's writ, the interrogatories produced by both the Bristol and Gloucester corporations (the plaintiff and defendant respectively) and the depositions made by witnesses representing both corporations.
