Abstract

The paper briefly reviews a new pilot tone SSB configuration, transparent tone-in-band (TTIB), which may be used in mobile radio systems from low-band VHF to microwave frequencies. Results are presented for the system performance when it is used to transmit coherent PSK, noncoherent FSK and DPSK data formats under white noise and Rayleigh fading conditions
