Abstract

Calls for a review of the law on recovery for psychiatric injuries suffered by those who witness harm to others, or secondary victims, highlighting the pending appeal to the Supreme Court from Paul v Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (CA) on whether third parties could recover damages for psychiatric injury sustained as a result of witnessing the personal injury or death of another.
